Remember a loved one by dedicating one of our metal Forget-Me-Not flowers and help Hospice Isle of Man continue providing palliative and end of life care to our patients and supporting their loved ones.
For our first Memory Meadow, we have chosen the Forget-Me-Not flower which symbolises devotion, true love and respect, as well as a promise that you will always remember someone.
If you choose to dedicate a flower in memory of a loved one, it will feature in our Memory Meadow, a stunning display within the Hospice gardens from Thursday 26th until Saturday 28th June 2025. After this, you are welcome to take your flower away to keep, and place in a space that’s special to you.
Our Memory Meadow is for everyone, not just those who were cared for by Hospice Isle of Man. It provides the opportunity for people to talk about their grief, reflect, remember a loved one and celebrate life with a lasting tribute.
When you choose to dedicate your flower, you will also receive a lovely Forget Me Not pin badge to wear with you, wherever you go. These are available when you collect your flower.
From Thursday 26th June until Saturday 28th June, your flower will be part of our Memory Meadow in the Hospice gardens in Strang. You will be welcome to visit us and take away your flower during the following times:
During these allotted times, the Hospice gardens will be open for you to explore, and light refreshments will be available to purchase.
If you cannot collect your flower over the course of these few days, please select this option on the form below, and for an additional charge, we can post your flower and pin badge out to you.
What a wonderful tribute and honour it has been for our family to be asked to represent the Memory Meadow campaign in memory of our beloved Chris.
Chris was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in May 2021. At that time he was very active with no outward signs that he was so unwell and he was living life to the full. The whole family was in shock at the diagnosis and its associated prognosis of just 6 months.
Chris received the treatment which enabled him to live with non-curable cancer for over 29 months from his oncology team based out of the Wellington Platinum Centre in London. We learnt very early on that everybody’s cancer journey is different and nobody knows how they will respond to treatments or what new treatments will be made available whilst you’re on that journey.
