Caring for someone at home

Receiving the news that someone you love has been diagnosed with a terminal or life-limiting illness can be an overwhelming shock. We understand the desire to provide your loved one with comfort, dignity, and quality of life in the familiar surroundings of home. Caring for a loved one at home is a deeply rewarding yet challenging journey.

Our aim is to make the difference to your life by enabling you to provide optimal care to your loved one.  Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, offering compassionate care and practical assistance to ensure your loved one's needs are met and your caregiving journey is as manageable as possible.

The Hospice at Home service provides care to those who wish to stay at home during the last few week of life, and those who select home as their preferred placed of death.. The amount of support our Hospice at Home and community nursing teams can provide will be dependent upon the individual patient’s needs.  You can discuss your preferred place of care, preferred place of death and explore the options for support at home with your CNS.

Respite Care for Carers

We understand the tireless dedication required in caring for loved ones facing terminal and life-limiting illnesses. That's why we offer respite admission to the inpatient unit, providing an essential opportunity for you to recharge and attend to your own well-being. Our respite services offer support or carers of patients already on the Hospice Caseload, ensuring that you can take a break with peace of mind, knowing your loved ones are receiving expert care in a supportive and safe environment.
