This week is Dying Matters Awareness Week 2024. This year’s theme, ‘The way we talk about Dying Matters’, focuses on the language that we use, and conversations we have, around death and dying.
This week, we’re sharing tips and advice on how to start honest, transparent conversations about death and dying to help people feel informed, supported, and empowered at one of the most vulnerable times of their lives. And we thought the best people to hear from would be our amazing team members who deal with this each and every day, let us introduce you to our Psychological Support Team. Our Psychological Support Team are there for both our patients and their loved ones.
Here at Hospice, psychological support is freely available from the point of diagnosis, if and when the person chooses to use it. Whether you are a patient, relative, friend or carer, you can talk in confidence, wherever is convenient or most comfortable for you, either in your own home, or here at Hospice.
This week, we will hear from them, and they will give you their best tips on how to deal with those difficult conversations.
