FC Isle of Man Saves the Day!

We have some AMAZING supporters!

The team from FC Isle of Man have helped out at our Christmas Tree Recycling Service the last few years. We contacted Lee from the team for the January 2025 collections, and unfortunately they weren't able to help. Us and the team were devastated.

However, we needn't have worried - just check out this incredible story from Lee below:

“When we were initially approached by Hospice to take part in their brilliant annual Christmas Tree Recycling Service to raise money for the charity, I was devastated to find out it clashed with our away fixture with Bury, due to our inability of not being able to return to the island till Sunday dinnertime the following day.

I decided to phone Donna Mcugh from Loganair to see if there was any possibility of them moving the flight on the Saturday night by 45 minutes to allow us time to get back to Manchester airport and ultimately mean we’d be able to participate in the Christmas Trees on Sunday.

When she called me back to confirm they would be able to accommodate our request there was a lot of happy people amongst our players, staff, volunteers and board members! For them to be able to help us take part and ultimately help to raise money for Hospice, a charity that has such a huge impact on so many people within our community meant the world to us. It shows the benefits of the close ties within our community and how we can all help each other when we are willing to work together.

A huge thank you from everyone at FC Isle of Man for allowing us to take part once again and a massive thanks to Loganair for their assistance in removing such a huge barrier and moving the flight times."

What an incredible thing to do, from both Loganair and FC Isle of Man - we are hugely grateful and can't say thank you enough.
