Liam Kinley is taking on the challenge of the Great Manchester Run 2024 for us in May!
Liam tells us that we hold an incredibly close spot in his heart, as we looked after his mum before she passed away from pancreatic cancer.
"Everyone I dealt with at the hospice made the hardest time of my life a little bit easier and the level of care they give is outstanding, they're all hero's !!
My brother Lewis promised my mum that he'd get me to do a half marathon, nice one mate, thanks for that. I thought if i have to do it then I'll rope in my boys also.
As a collective there will be around 15 of us running for my mum, she was a keen runner herself and was due to complete her first marathon at 60 before Pancreatic Cancer had other ideas. The fact that I'll be doing this with the support of my brother and my mates (also brothers) will fill my mum with immense pride........now, to get this 120kg unfit slob running...... Wish me luck."
We can't wait to see how Liam gets on, and we're sure his mum would be super proud of him! To support Liam, please visit his Just Giving page here.
