Hospice Florence Nightingale Awarded to the Rebecca House Team

Every year on May 12, we commemorate International Nurses Day, which coincides with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. And at this time, we present some of our team with the Hospice Florence Nightingale Award to recognise truly outstanding commitment to Hospice.

This year the Award was presented to the outstanding Rebecca House Team. A special thanks was given to all staff individually for a particularly difficult start to the year when the team provided 24 hour care for a child who was at end of life, their parents and wider family. They all went above and beyond the call of duty amending shifts, working on days off and cancelling annual leave to provide exceptional care and support.

The RH team are all truly an inspiration to the service they provide and to the nursing profession.
