Hospice - Registrations and Inspections

On 17th December 2024, an inspection was carried out here at Hospice by R&I. The point of the inspection is to ensure that we are providing the highest standards of care to our patients and their loved ones. 

We recently received the report and formal feedback. To everyone's massive credit at Hospice, the report contained no recommendations or requirements whatsoever - an unusual but clearly outstanding success for our organisation and one we are all very proud of. 
A few of the comments made by the Inspectors are:

• There was a focus on safety improvements and evidence of learning from incidents which have occurred. 

• Recruitment checks and systems were robust.

• We found staff to be very caring and they promoted independence of people at the service.

• Feedback from inpatients was excellent regarding the standard of care and dedication.
