London Marathon Runner - Mel Kermeen
Meet our next London Marathon runner; Mel Kermeen! Mel is no stranger to Hospice, she has been a part of the Hospice team for over 4 years now and her next commitment to the charity is to take on one of the most famous Marathons out there.
Running in honour of her father, who she used to watch the marathon with, the event coincides with her 55th birthday and marks a year since her father's passing - so it's set to be a very special event for her.
Having been surprised with an entry into the Paris Marathon last year by her daughter Breeshey, Mel has definitely caught the running bug and the London Marathon felt like the next natural step.
Mel tells us 'It's really important to me that everyone who needs Hospice care should be able to receive Hospice support when they need it', and having also lost her Mum in Hospice in 2018, we are truly a charity close to her heart.
