Parish Walk 2019

Hospice Walkers

We were delighted to have so much support from Parish Walkers this year, not only from our fantastic supporters, but from our staff as well!

We had 12 walkers come forward to let us know they were walking in support of Hospice Isle of Man and Rebecca House, all of which took up the challenge and set to their training and own personal goals.

Hospice were delighted to have a small gazebo set up on Oatlands Road, providing any walker with the opportunity to have a bottle of water and some delicious fresh oranges courtesy of Robinsons Fresh Foods and with support from some wonderful volunteers from Nedbank, who helped hand out the refreshments to the many passers by. This was the perfect opportunity to capture some images of our Hospice walkers, and spur on the participants with encouraging words and supportive cheers.

Our very own Danielle Barton was the first to cross the finish line for the under 21's at Peel. Congratulations Danielle, we are all so proud of this amazing achievement!

Staff members old and new also took part in the walk as the brilliant duo Siobhan Ellison and Karen Skillan battled the course together. Siobhan did a fntastic job, completing the course at 22hours 52 minutes and 24 seconds!

Last but certainly not least, our courageous Chairman, Chris Hall made a tremendous effort and made it all the way to Peel!

A massive congratulations to Paul Hartnall, Margaret Kelly, Caroline Kelly, Liza Kinrade, Sammie McDonald, Miguel Fernandes, Matthew Bridson, Yasmin Quayle and Remo Riccardi who took part on behalf of Hospice Isle of Man and Rebecca House. We are so proud and extremely grateful for each of your efforts.

If you would like to walk in support of us next year, please do get in touch!
