This year we are delighted to offer our very own Christmas Cards which have been uniquely designed by some of our patients and service users.
Championed by our Scholl Wellbeing Centre, we held a competition earlier this year for our Day Unit and Rebecca House patients to design a Christmas card with a brief of celebrating our community. Creative arts can be incredibly therapeutic for our patients and can greatly help with self-expression, recognising inner strength, reducing stress and coming to terms with illness.
The range of beautiful submissions we received back was incredible, and we were delighted to see such enthusiasm and pride reflected in the patient’s designs which they had so clearly enjoyed creating. With huge thanks to everyone’s submissions, we are so pleased to share with you our winning designs:
Poinsettia – Design by Anna Weight and message by Sonja Clark
Christmas Tree – Design by Mary Watt
Robin – Design by Mary Watt
Christmas Tree – Design by Levi Rose Watterson (age 6)
Congratulations to the winners as these poignant cards are already flying off the shelves in support of our Hospice. You can get your official Hospice Christmas cards in support of patient care in all of our Hospice shops Island-wide and our main Hospice reception.
