Peter Hickman Visits Hospice Patient

Just before TT, Graham Whittaker told us it would mean the world to him if both Peter Hickman and John McGuinness paid him a visit. John visited at the start of TT and now Peter has joined us at the end - Graham is feeling on top of the world!

Even with taking part in the biggest motorbike race in the world, Peter still found the time to visit Graham, our avid TT fan currently residing in our in-patient unit. And he hasn't been a quiet one for him... this year he had his fourth win of the week and his 13th career win. He also smashed his own outright lap record with a final lap speed of 136.358mph during the Superstock race.

Graham was in awe, meeting arguably one of the most successful riders in the motorbiking world. Hickman signed photos for Graham and even left him the hat he was wearing - it didn't come off for the rest of the night!

Thank you so much from the Hospice team and from Graham and his family, to Peter Hickman for giving one of our patients so much happiness. We are lucky there are so many kind people in the world who take the time to just make others' dreams come true.
